Spring Vale is a small 5th generation family owned vineyard since 1875, located in Cranbrook on Tasmania's stunning Freycinet Coast. At Spring Vale, our grapes are grown with an in depth knowledge of our local terroir. Intimate attention to quality and flavour, allows us to produce premium, award-winning wines at our on-site winery.
This 2021 Melrose Chardonnay balances pristine fruit with vibrant acidity. The nose on this wine shows an intriguing mix of stone fruit, citrus blossom, grapefruit and struck flint. The initial supple texture on the palate becomes focused toward a finish that weaves freshly zested lemon with mineral acidity. A truly classy ultra cool climate Chardonnay, which is totally reflective of the place of origin. This wine will reward a short time in the cellar, up to 6 years but is an amazing drink now, particularly with a Thai Fish curry. 13% Alc/vol.
