2016 Domaine Bouchard 'La Vignee' Chardonnay, Burgundy France
Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Lifted ripe peach and dried honey aromas drift from the glass followed by citrusy nougat and light spice. Medium bodied the palate has a generous round mouthfeel yet finishes with good freshness. Flavours of ripe peaches laced with dried honey, citrus, nougat, faint cashew and spice fill the palate. Dry finish with perfectly judged acidity and an aftertaste of ripe white peaches, dried honey, citrusy nougat and traces of spicy cashew.
