This wine is named after the 45* Parallel, which crosses the Rhone Valley, passing through some of the estates and vineyards belonging to Maison Paul Jaboulet Aine. A typical southern blend of Grenache (55%), Syrah (40%) and 5% of mixed grape varieties (Mourvedre, Carignan & Cinsault). This wine has ripe berry fruit aromas, some Indian spice notes and a super smooth complexity. Best enjoyed young but will develop over the next 2-3 years. Enjoy this wine with BBQ pork & fennel sausages, mashed potato, steamed broccolini & a red wine gravy.
